Issue 251, October 20, 2024

As we enjoy the recent cooling of the weather, it feels like fall has finally arrived, bringing with it a refreshing change from the summer heat. There’s a noticeable shift in the air, and I think many of us are energized by the crisp mornings and the promise of cooler days ahead.

This sense of renewal and excitement is also mirrored in our club as we prepare for an extraordinary opportunity on October 23. We are thrilled to welcome Mark Lamping, President of the Jacksonville Jaguars, as our next speaker. Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and experience not only in sports but also in business leadership. His insights will offer us a unique perspective on the Jaguars’ vision, both on and off the field, and how they contribute to our community’s vitality.

As business owners, networking is one of the most valuable activities we can engage in. There’s something uniquely powerful about connecting with like-minded individuals who share our drive and commitment to community. Each time we gather to listen to a great speaker, like Mark, we also have the opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and forge new ones. These connections often lead to partnerships, referrals, and fresh ideas that can drive our businesses forward.

With so much on the horizon for our city and the Jaguars, this is a meeting you won’t want to miss. I encourage you to bring a guest or two, as Mark’s talk promises to be both enlightening and inspiring. Let’s take advantage of this cool weather, come together, and make the most of this chance to network and learn from a leader who plays a pivotal role in shaping our city’s future.

Additionally, I’d like to remind all board members that we will be having a board meeting immediately following Mark’s talk. This is to make up for the meeting we missed due to Hurricane Melvin. Your attendance is important as we’ll be catching up on key discussions and planning for the months ahead.

I look forward to seeing each of you there!

Mike Best
2024 President
