Issue 270, March 9, 2025

Change is never easy. Whether you’re moving to a new city, starting a new job, or implementing a new computer system. However, it is only through change that we can improve, grow, and expand in the hopes of becoming better.

SBMC is no different. As we grow, we must learn to change to determine better and more efficient in our current procedures. Sometimes, the change requires returning to our roots and to how things were accomplished in the past.

This year the changes that my officers, board members, and a small group of talented club members are setting out to make changes that while not easy, we feel will be worth it in the long run.

For one example, we are looking at moving our elections up to September, allowing our newly appointed officers time to plan and prepare prior to taking on their new roles in January. My steering committee is constantly looking into different ideas that will help to streamline processes and improve the way our club operates. No matter how great a person or organization is, there are always new things to learn and room for improvement.

Remember: change is a good thing. It allows us to grow, get out of our comfort zones, and expand our horizons to reach our goals.

Sincerely,
