“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
-Helen Keller
What a wonderful week for the Southside Business Men’s Club! There were so many great events. Our guest speaker was Mr. Adam Dillon from the Jacksonville Small and Emerging Business JSEB. He provided our members that were in attendance with a range of things they can do to help small businesses located here in Jacksonville. Many of our members have already reached out! Part of SBMC is helping our members grow their business, education, and opportunities to network. This week we helped to provide all three.
Speaking of our members, I can’t speak enough of how much I appreciate all the members who took time to come out to the TPC and volunteer to help with our fund raising for the Kids Holiday Shopping Spree. We had a great time getting to know one another better while taking in some of the most breathtaking views in Northeast Florida and it was all for a good cause. I want to especially thank Angelo Volpe and Rene Zook for their help in organizing both of these events. Also, a special thank you to Mike Ammirata of Resource Solutions Plus for donating the golf Polos. You can see by the pictures in our newsletter, our crew looked sharp and we had many of the TPC attendees ask about our organization.
Our attendance at our meetings has been steadily growing. Even during the week of TPC, we still managed to have many members in attendance along with many new faces. We ask that you continue to register in advance of our meetings so we can be sure to have enough room available to accommodate everyone.
We are off to a great start this year and have a lot of events planned. We hope you will take advantage of the many things our club has to offer.
Sincerely,
Ken Petsch
